About me

Hey! My name is Tess and I'm 22 years old. I graduated from Lepařovo Gymnázium (grammar school) during covid and then I decided to leave for the USA. I spent a whole year over there working as an au pair. I lived with 3 different host families during my au pair year. With the first one, I spent a month only taking care of 2 girls (ages 3 and 5 years), in the second host family I was living for 4 months and had 3 kids to watch (a 2yo girl, and almost a 4yo boy and a 5yo girl + after a month with them, the 4th baby was born) and in the third family where I spent half a year, I was looking after one sweet baby boy who was 6 months old when I arrived and celebrated his very first birthday on my last working day.

However, except for this amazing experience, I had been babysitting for a long time before that - I have a 12-year-old younger sister, and then 6 other younger cousins ​​(ages 1-10) that I helped babysit from time to time. I like going out for a walk or to the playground with the kids, we play various games and I also help the older ones with their homework. I prefer time spent outside and playing some educational and other fun games. I feel like the kids can find a safe space with me, be understood, and have fun at the same time. I can be a big sister or a friend to them that they can trust.

Since I arrived back in Czech, in October 2022, I've been working as an English lecturer in a private language school. Not only do I teach children of all ages but I also teach the adults, and in the summer we have summer camps which I enjoy so much. So I can say my job is quite varied!

Po střední škole jsem odjela na rok do USA pracovat jako au pair. Po návratu jsem si udělala Cambridge certifikát na úrovni C1 a nyní pracuji jako lektorka angličtiny v jazykové škole.
