PROFESSIONAL NANNY

My name is Ivana, I’m 28 years old, and ever since I was a child, I knew that working with children was my dream. At the age of 18, I moved to London, where I lived for 8 years and gained valuable experience as a private nanny. I cared for children aged 0 to 4 years. I also worked for six months in a private nursery, where I looked after children aged 1.5 to 2 years.

I’ve been back living in Prague for 3 years. I have a daughter, Evelyn, who will be 3 years old in October. She’s very social and friendly. Since she was 5 months old, we’ve been caring for children together in our home, so she’s used to having little ones around.

Our home is fully equipped for children we have cribs, highchairs, and plenty of toys. The kids can play with a toy kitchen, a wooden dollhouse, train tracks, LEGO, puzzles, books, cars, and more.

In the summer, the children enjoy our spacious 22 m² balcony with seating, a slide, ride-on toys, four-wheelers, a teepee tent, and a small pool.

We also have a double stroller, so we often go outside for walks, to the playground, or to feed the ducks in a nearby park. When the weather isn’t great, we dance, sing, paint, do crafts, or play with playdough.

I’d also like to mention that if you’re starting nursery and your child is struggling to adapt, I can help.

From past experience, I can say that children who come to us tend to have a smoother transition into nursery among larger groups of children. Because our group consists of a maximum of 3–4 kids per day, the children feel safe, gradually get used to social contact, learn to share toys, communicate with others, and most importantly, become comfortable with the routine of being dropped off and picked up by their parents.

Thanks to this, their adaptation to nursery tends to be much easier. Several children started coming to me after struggling to settle into nursery. After some time with us, they were well prepared, and the transition into nursery went much more smoothly for both the child and the parents.
