About me

Hi! I have a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Languages from UC Berkeley. My focus was in creative writing and I am actually here in Prague studying Scriptwriting.

I have experience tutoring people ages 10-25. While I was in high school and university I tutored for a few families in my neighborhood and this was for ages 10-18. I found that the most important thing while tutoring is to make my students feel comfortable and confident. Many students might come into a tutoring session feeling ashamed or shy that they need extra help and I like to remind them that we are all learning. I start by celebrating their strengths and then teach them how to apply themselves in a structured way.

I also worked on campus at my university in our Writing Lab where I helped undergraduate students with their written assignments. We focused on essay structure, grammar, research, and time management.

Apart from English, I have tutored basic math for children 10-16.
