About me
My name is Susan. I am 23 years old and although I come from Strakonice, I have been living in Prague since my university studies. I have a bachelor's degree in social work from Charles University, where I am currently finishing my bachelor's degree in psychology. My professional life is focused on mental health, and I am currently involved in research, which focuses on the treatment of borderline personality disorder.
I have been singing in choirs since I was 8 years old and I also like drawing, playing the ukulele, reading, baking, swimming and walking. I love to travel, my last travel experience was a walking pilgrimage from Porto to Santiago de Compostela.
I have experience in babysitting, I have worked in a Montessori children's group and a group for children with a mother tongue other than Czech. I was further enriched by my experience in the field of social work, where I had a professional internship in a facility for children in need of immediate help. I have experience with children's camps. I have been an instructor since I was 16 years old at sport oriented camp and later at art camp.
My interest in mental health and well-being are aspects that lead me to be sensitive and respectful towards children. My work in a Montessori children's group has undoubtedly influenced my attitude. For all cases, my course in Comprehensive Crisis Intervention or the Red Cross Children's First Aid course is also useful.

Mám zkušenost s dětmi z nízkopříjmových rodin s projevy traumat (v kontextu praxe v zařízení pro děti vyžadující okamžitou pomoc). Dále jsem přes 1 rok pracovala v dětské skupině, kde byly děti, které neuměly česky a mluvily jen ukrajinsky/rusky. (Já ani jeden z těchto jazyků neovládám).
