Hi, my name is Nikol but everybody calls me Niki. I am currently a penultimate student of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry at University of Oxford. I am fascinated by all the secrets that lie in the cells of our bodies and make us who we are. I spend a part of the year in the UK, nevertheless, I can offer short-term or one-time babysitting/tutoring of your children during vacation (Christmas, Easter, summer).
I started working with children in 2016 when I was employed as an animator at a campsite over summer. I was looking after groups of children of various nationalities. We would do sports and crafts, play games, have dancing contests, etc.
At the age of 17, based on academic excellence and merit I participated in an exchange program allowing me to study in Scotland for a year. There, I decided to work voluntarily as an assistant in nursery and P1 (first year at primary school). Frankly, I have the nicest memories from there.
When I returned to Prague I started babysitting children from my neighbourhood, plus I got involved tutoring students from primary school to high school seniors. I mainly focused on Czech, Maths, English, and Chemistry. Currently, since I spend most of the year in the UK, I babysit when I am home during Christmas, Easter, and summer vacation. Moreover, I provide tutoring lessons online.
It goes without saying that I dedicate a lot of my free time to my studies. Apart from that, I delight in music. Ballet has played a fundamental role in my life since I was four, as I can let go of my emotions and relax. Moreover, I enjoy playing piano and I love to bake sweets for my friends and family.
To conclude, I believe childhood is the best part of one's life. During the past years, I found that babysitting allows me to travel back in time and therefore, gives me a great amount of joy which is the main reason why I love it.
