Hana K.
I am a student at a College of Education (specializing in preschool and extracurricular pedagogy) and I also work in a children’s group of 14 children, where I gain daily experience with different personalities and needs. I hold a professional qualification as a nanny for children up to the start of elementary school attendance, including a certified first aid course for children.
In addition to my work, I regularly babysit children of relatives and friends, and I am also a mother myself. This gives me valuable practical experience and a realistic understanding of children’s everyday needs.
In my approach, I focus on respectful care – I listen to children, take their emotions seriously, and respect their “no.” At the same time, I believe that clear rules and a structured day are essential for a child’s sense of safety. I do not force children to eat or participate in activities, but I motivate them, explain things in a way they understand, and try to find a compromise that works for both sides.
I adapt easily to each child’s personality and pace. I have experience with calm children as well as very active, creative, or high-energy children, including those who need constant attention and engagement. In such cases, I am fully present and give the child my full attention. At the same time, I believe it is equally important to help these children find moments of calm through quiet activities such as reading or talking.
Each day, I prepare at least one creative and one educational activity. The rest of the day is spent outdoors, at playgrounds, through free play, playing with toys, and developing both gross and fine motor skills.
I also place a strong emphasis on developing independence and practical life skills – I involve children in everyday activities such as tidying up toys, getting dressed, hygiene, or simple cooking. I always adjust the day according to the child’s current mood and needs.
I enjoy spending time outdoors with children – in nature, on walks, or at playgrounds. I consider time outside an important part of every day.
Cooperation with parents is very important to me – I respect your rules, daily routine, and parenting style. Everything is based on communication, and I aim to provide the child with a sense of continuity and security between home and my care.
My goal is not just to “babysit,” but to create a safe, calm, and stimulating environment where the child feels comfortable and can naturally develop. 💛
