About me

I am a mom of two, a twelve-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter, so I know very well that every child is different and needs something a little different. I approach children in a respectful and individual way, and it is important to me that they feel safe and comfortable with me.

I have been teaching English for 19 years, and I especially enjoy focusing on how children can acquire it in a natural and playful way. When babysitting, I can also prepare fun activities to help with Czech (or English :)

I really enjoy coming up with new ideas - lately, sensory play has been very popular in my home as well as in my classrooms. Above all, though, I like doing with children what they themselves enjoy and are interested in 🙂
I enjoy crafts, reading books, sports, going to the playground, the zoo, or simply spending time in nature. I often draw inspiration from Montessori pedagogy. I don’t mind being outdoors in any weather.

I also have experience leading summer day camps with English.

This year, I completed a course for nannies in a children’s group, which also included a first aid course.

I can babysit at my home, outdoors, or at your place, but always in the presence of my little Izzie, who now assists me with babysitting and teaching 🙂
