My name is Nikola, and animals and nature have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember 🐈‍⬛.

I am currently finishing my Master’s degree in Zoology and starting a PhD at the Czech University of Life Sciences. Among other things, I am also certified in first aid for companion animals.

Caring for animals has been my lifelong passion, both in my free time and professionally. During the last year, I worked as a nutrition specialist for dogs and cats. Before returning to my home country in 2024, I lived abroad for 5 years (Australia and New Zealand), where I worked as a petsitter and racehorse groomer (therefore, caring for farm animals is not an obstacle either 😊). In the field of petsitting alone, I have completed more than 50 long-term sittings in Australia with 100% positive reviews (I can provide references upon request).

In addition to caring for any other large or small animals, from spiders through bats to cows 🦇, I can also offer dog walking in the local area (for several years I worked as temporary foster care for shelter dogs, both large and small, socialized as well as more complicated ones).

However, I would honestly like to mention that my specialty is primarily cats and caring for them in their home environment. I personally have two feline siblings, and I strongly believe that this form of care is the most suitable for cats. I have been surrounded by cats (among other animals) since birth, and I believe they are very specific animals and personalities, each of which requires an individual approach.

In addition to the care itself (including administering all medications, brushing, and nail trimming), I can also offer basic behavioral or nutritional advice. I also provide consultations and inspections of a “Safe Cat Household,” where I focus on identifying potential risks in your home, such as the suitability of specific houseplant species.
